Active now for 6 years in the Mid Atlantic, the NOVA Storm Chasing team follows the most intense weather impacting Virginia, the DMV, and the Carolinas.
Documented weather events include tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, floods, and hurricanes. We reach a combined audience of 15,000+ people through social media accounts, which relay forecasts and storm information to the region.
Our primary goal is to safely document the weather with photos, videos, and storm spotter reports. We also provide severe storm forecasts to the region for high impact events, and collaborate with local officials and media.
